Dr. Gautam Bapat is an academic leader, marketing scholar, researcher, and administrator serving as Associate Dean – Academics and Associate Professor of Marketing at the School of Business, MIT World Peace University, Pune. He plays a pivotal role in steering academic excellence across one of India's largest business schools, comprising 18 academic programmes (9 BBA and 9 MBA), over 120 faculty members, and thousands of students. His leadership encompasses academic planning, faculty workload optimization, curriculum implementation, academic quality assurance, outcome-based education, accreditation readiness, examination processes, and institutional governance.
Since assuming the role of Associate Dean, Dr. Bapat has successfully led the School through ISO certification, strengthened academic processes, streamlined faculty resource allocation, improved academic scheduling systems, and established robust quality assurance mechanisms aligned with global higher education standards. A researcher with over 40 peer-reviewed publications, multiple books, and five patents, Dr. Bapat's scholarship spans AI-enabled marketing, digital transformation, higher education marketing, branding, consumer behaviour, and technology adoption. He serves as a reviewer for leading international journals and regularly delivers keynote addresses and faculty development programmes on AI, marketing analytics, research methodology, and academic leadership.
